MANUAL FOR READPHROM (BBC BASIC) This file describes the program READPHROM which extracts the contents of the currently selected PHROM in the BBC speech system. It is suitable only for machines which have the appropriate hardware upgrade. The manual (C)1998 SPROW and software is (C)1996 SPROW INSTRUCTIONS- At the BASIC prompt, type CHAIN"RDPHROM" The program will ask which phrom to read, as up to 16 may be wired in at once. Refer to the speech system user guide to find out which one you're trying for. The contents of the ROM will then be decoded and displayed on the screen - any non displayable characters will appear as '.'.
